Commissions are available on 9x12 bristol or illustration board, and may be produced in any combination of these mediums: watercolors, markers, colored pencils, india ink, acrylic paints, and gouache.

Commission prices are as follows and include up to 2 characters. Prices are in US dollars:
Pencil sketch - $15
Inked drawing - $30
Colored, no background - $40
Colored, simple background - $60
Colored, complex background - $80
Additional characters - $30 per character

These numbers are a basic framework for pricing a commission. For an accurate quote on a more complex piece, please contact me with your ideas.

Defining simple and complex backgrounds:
A simple background would include a field of color or texture on the paper surrounding the character(s) or an abstract design. It may also include simple props, such as a rock to sit on, or a tree to lean on, or a patch of grass, concrete or dirt around their feet, or even a blue sky with some puffy clouds. A complex background would be any kind of scenery that would require several hours of work, such as a landscape, city scape, or some kind of special effect like an explosion. Commission Policies

Commission must be paid in full before any work may begin. In-progress artwork will be sent to the commissioner periodically. I will ask for approval of a sketch, where major changes to the composition must be requested before any inking or coloring begins.

The commissioner will be in communication throughout the creation process, and I will promise to do the same.

The commissioner is paying for an original artwork. Reproduction rights remain with the artist, the exception being commissions of business card or flyer designs, which can be freely reproduced by the commissioner for their own use. The commissioner may also post a digital representation of the art to their website.

Exclusive art, artwork that the commissioner doesn't want reproduced or distributed by the artist (such as a business card design, graphics designed for a website, private artwork, etc.), is priced at a different rate. Contact me for those rates.
